Translation column

Translation column

Use this dialog to configure the properties of the translation language. To show this dialog right click the language column header in the grid and choose Properties

Spelling and Grammar

Specifies the spelling and grammar properties of the column.

Property Description
Check spelling If checked, then Soluling checks the spelling and visually shows spelling errors with a red underline.
Check grammar If checked, then Soluling checks the grammar and visually shows grammar errors with a green underline.

Click Ignored Words to edit the list of ignored words. Click Dictionary to edit the custom dictionary.

Input

Specifies input properties.

Property Description
Auto keyboard If checked, Soluling turns on the keyboard (if installed) matching to the column language.
Auto IME If checked, Soluling turns on the input method editor (if any) used by the column language. Only some Asian languages (Chinese, Korean, and Japanese) use the input method editor.

Font

Specifies the font that is used to draw the column. Check Use default font if you want the default font of the grid. Uncheck Use default font if you want to use a custom font only for this column.

Formality

Specifies the formality of the translations. This is currently used only with certain machine translation engines such as DeepL. Possible values are:

Value Description
Default The machine translation engine uses the default formality of that language.
Formal The machine translation engine uses more formal translations.
Informal The machine translation engine uses less formal translations.

DeepL glossary

Specifies the DeepL glossary that is used with this language whenever DeepL is used.

Relative language

Set the relative language that is used in the language fallback.

Source language

Specifies the source language that is used in the translate process.

Translation transform

Specifies the transform that Soluling applies to all translations during the build process.

Note! These transforms are only applied to the output files. The translations in the project remain unchanged.

Display reading order

Specifies the reading order used when drawing column text. This is visible only when the language of the column uses the right to left reading order (e.g., Arabic and Hebrew). Possible values are:
