Note! IBM Watson Language Translator service has been deprecated on June 20th, 2023. The service will permanently shut down on June 10th, 2024. We will remove Watson engine from the supported machine translation engines soon. We recommend using some other machine translation service.

Use this dialog to configure IBM Watson Language Translator.

Account

IBM Watson Language Translator is a free service up to 1 million characters per month when you use the Lite plan. If you use more, you have to pay. Even if you use the service only a little, you have to get your account. Key specifies the user account that the translator uses. Click the Test account button to perform a test that makes sure that your account works correctly.

If you don't have an existing account or want to make a new account check, I don't have an account or create a new one checkbox. When checked, the dialog will show an extra button:

  1. Click the Get account button to go to subscribe to IBM Cloud.
  2. Write down or copy your key and URL.
  3. Enter or paste the key to the Key edit field.
  4. Enter or paste the URL to the URL edit field.

If you have a specific model that you want to use, enter the model's id in the Model edit. If you do not have a model, leave the field empty.
