Machine Translation Settings

Machine Translation Settings

Use this dialog to configure machine translation settings.

Use settings sheet

Use this sheet to specify the general machine translation settings.

Check Accept translations having invalid syntax to accept also those translations that use ill-formed XML or HTML. If you turn this on, you might need to fix the format of those ill-formed translations manually. Soluling marks this with an invalidated flag (red dot in the translation cell).

Translation status that is set

Specifies the translation status that is set after successfully set the translation value.

Quality-Translate settings

Use this sheet to set settings that are used when machine translation is used in Quality-Translate mode.

Reference machine translator

Specifies the reference machine translator.

If this is No reference then none of the machine translation engines is preferred, and the results from all engines are compared, and the result having the highest matches to other results will be chosen. Use this if you don't have a preferred translator, but you want to get the result that have has had the most similar matches amount other machine translation engines or models.

However, if a reference machine translator is given, then the result of that engine is matched to other results, and the result is chosen if the match is high enough. Use this method if you have a preferred machine translator and you want to filter out the wrong results.

Percentage

Each translated value has a percentage that tells how accurate the translation is. 100% value means that translation is considered very accurate because more than one source resulted in the same value. Soluling uses the following percentage levels:

Value Description
Min percent that is accepted Specifies the minimum percentage is accepted. All translations with a lower percentage are ignored.
Threshold percent after upper status is used Specifies the percentage threshold where upper translation status specifies by Above threshold status is used.

Statuses

Specifies the two translation status values that are used when machine translating.

Value Description
Above threshold status Translations having a percentage equal to or greater than the threshold percentage value will have this status.
Below threshold status Translations having percentages between minimum and threshold values will have this status.
