Multilingual options

Use this sheet to specify how the multilingual output file is created.

Configuration

Specifies the active configuration. You can add any number of configurations. This makes it possible to create multiple output files with different properties easily.

Add localized items

Specifies if localized items are added. A localization item is either a database row or XML attributes or an element that Soluling adds to the table or file. Possible values are:

Value Description
Always Localized items are always added even if there are no parts translated in the item.
If the item has at least one translation Localized items are added if there is at least one part translated in the item.
Only if the item has all translations completed Localized items are added only if the item has all parts translated.

When writing a localized item that does not have all translations

Specifies what value is written in the localized items in the case the translation does not yet have any value. A localization item is either a database field or XML attribute or element. Possible values are:

Value Description
Use original value Write the original value.
Use empty value Write an empty value.
Database
: If the field type is not a string, the original value is used.
Use null value Database: Write a null value. If the field can not be null, then write an empty value.
XML: Remove attribute or element.
Do not write/change item Do not write the localized item but leave it as it is.

This is visible only if Add localized items is not Only if the item has all translations completed.

Use original value when the row exists and the translation have been removed

Check this if you want Soluling removes existing translations from the localized database item if the translation in the Soluling project is removed first.
