DeepL Translator

Use this dialog to configure DeepL Translator.

Account

DeepL Translator is a paid service. You need to purchase an API key to use the service. Enter your key into the Key field. Click the Test account button to perform a test that makes sure that your account works correctly.

If you don't have an existing account or want to make a new account, check I don't have an account, or I want to create a new one. When checked, the dialog shows an extra button: Get account.

1. Click the Get account button to go to the web page that lets you subscribe to a plan.
2. Write down or copy your API key.
3. Enter or paste the key into the corresponding edit field in this dialog.

Important! Make sure you get the Growth plan. All other plans do not work with CAT tools including Soluling.

Preserve Formatting

If checked the translation engine should respect the original formatting, even if it would usually correct some aspects.

Model type specifies the DeepL model that is used. Possible values are Latency optimized, Quality optimized, and Prefer quality optimized.

Glossaries

DeepL can use custom glossaries. Click Edit glossaries to create or delete DeepL's glossaries.Once you have created the glossary, use the language dialog (right-click mouse the translation column header and choose Properties...) to turn the glossary on. After that, DeepL uses that glossary whenever you translate that specific language.
