Terminology |
Use this sheet to configure terminology.
Click Add to add a new termbase or glossary. A list of available types will show. Select a glossary type from the list.
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Add a new local or server database termbase | A database that contains term data in a Soluling termbase structure. Initially, Soluling contains one empty local termbase. |
| Add a new cloud termbase | A termbase that locates in Soluling's Cloud. It implements the same features as the above local termbase, but the actual termbase exists on the cloud, making it easily accessible to all users of your localization team no matter where they locate. |
| Add Microsoft Terminology Service | Microsoft Terminology Service is a cloud-based terminology service glossary. |
| Add a glossary file | A glossary/terminology file such as TBX, TMX, text, or Excel file. |
| Add a glossary database | A database table that contains terminology data. |
| Import file into "<name>" termbase | Imports terms from a file or a database to the default termbase (<name>). Default termbase is the first database termbase in the list. |
Depending on your Soluling license, one or more options may not be visible.
Click Edit to edit the selected glossary. Click Remove the remove the selected glossary.
Click Import to import glossary settings from an exported file. Click Export to export current settings into a file. This exports only the glossary settings, not the actual glossary data. Use Tools sheet to export or backup glossary data.
Click Move Up to move the selected item one step up. Click Move Down to move the selected item one step down. Ctrl+Up is a shortcut for Move Up. Ctrl+Down is a shortcut for Move Down. You can also drag and drop to reorder an item.
Click Default to replace the current glossaries with the default glossary. Click Options to configure how glossaries are used.
